Hello everyone, my name is Lola, and I am your maths Leader for 2021. This is the second instalment of the Maths Competition! Congratulations to both winners of last terms maths competition! If you would like to participate in this term’s maths competition, please follow the instructions below:

 

Similar to last time, if you would like to participate in the competition, answer your appropriate year levels problem solving questions below. (Prep – grade 2 to complete the junior questions and Year 3 – Year 6 to complete the senior questions.) 

 

Once you have written you name, grade, and your answer with your working out on a piece of paper, please take a photo and send it to the following email: lolak2021@carnegieps.vic.edu.au. 

 

You will have until the 22nd of October to email me your answers! The winner will be getting a prize once we return to school!  Good luck!

If there are 20 players on a football field, and ¼ of them had blonde hair, what is the number of people who did not have blonde hair?

Senior Question: (Grade 3 – Grade 6)

If:
