Parents & Friends Association

Hi Everyone

Hope you are keeping warm and dry.  Maybe even ate one of the Tony’s Pies delivered yesterday to keep off the chill.  Here are a few things that we have planned in the near future that we’d like for you to add to your diaries.

School Disco: Friday 3 August – Next Friday night. This is one of the children’s highlights of the year – sure to be a great night. Thank you to all the volunteers for the disco. You will be contacted early next week with instructions for the night.

Father’s Day Stall: Thursday 30 August – Save the date – great opportunity to get a little gift for this special day. Volunteer request to come out on CareMonkey.

Tony’s Pie Drive:  A huge thanks to Jacky Milat and Sharon Hobson for organising the Tony’s Pie Delivery yesterday. Our dinner was all sorted!

Next P&F Meeting: Tuesday 7 August, 7pm - Please come along and join in the chat about our up and coming events. The Staff Room heater will be on and so will the kettle.

Till next time, stay warm.

FUN HAIR & HAT DAY - Tuesday 7 August

On this day, all QoP children are asked to consider donating a family sized block of chocolate (approx 200-250g) that will be used in a game at the Fete called “Lob-a-Choc”. In this game, family sized chocolate blocks will be placed on a large wire frame. Toss a gold coin - if it lands on the chocolate block you win it!  To make this a fun occasion, all QoP children are invited to do something special with their hair or wear a fun hat. You can wear your hair in whatever fancy or funky style you choose. Ideas might include spiking your hair a bit with hair gel, wearing some colourful ribbons or a wig, or using some coloured hairspray. Or you may choose to wear a hat – it could be your favourite one, a beanie or your own design. Everyone still wears their school uniform.

FUNKY SOCKS & TIGHTS DAY - Wednesday 5 September

Children are invited to wear funky socks or tights on this day. Don’t throw away any pre-loved children’s costumes or children’s books! We will be asking families to donate these items (in good condition) to mark the occasion.
