Secondary School - Mural Art Group

Since the beginning of Term 1 students have been working with local Artist Chad Spencer on developing a design for a wall at the rear of VFIT on Prospect Road. Initially the group met with the manager of VFIT and discussed the project and ideas for the wall. We then analysed several existing artworks in the nearby Honeysuckle Lane to explore the techniques and themes behind these works. After this we ventured down to O’Connell and Marian Streets where Mr Spencer was about to begin a major joint artwork with Adelaide artist Josh (J2Ske).

Two weeks later we returned to see the completed Artwork and the transformation of the space into a spectacular vibrant Artwork. The boys were very impressed and are looking forward to attempting their own artwork in the weeks to come. Stay tuned as progress pictures will be displayed over the coming weeks as the Artwork develops.
