Primary Co-Curricular

Our basketballers in action!

Primary Co-Curricular Report

The long weekend has come at a good time with a number of boys falling ill or getting injured, resulting in some of our teams fronting up with just enough for full teams. A special thank you to the band of boys who have stepped up to fill in some gaps where necessary and ensure we have played with full teams. Your community spirit and willingness to assist has been valued by all involved.

The Year 6/7 basketballers were very excited after both teams won last week; the Blue team with their first win of the season. Please see some of the photos from the game. Well done to Mr Vo and the boys. Persistence pays off! The Year 4/5 basketball team continue to compete hard but haven’t yet had a win. Mrs Rowley suggested that someone put glad wrap over the ring as the ball just wouldn’t go in last week. Keep up the good work though, boys.

The Primary A soccer team has won its past two matches against Pembroke and PAC last weekend. The boys are putting together some good soccer and are starting to gel well as a team. Mr Niedzwiecki’s Primary B team has lost it past two games, but he has been impressed with the spirit and effort of all the boys. The Year 3/4/5 teams played PAC on Friday in some tough matches and continue to enjoy their soccer experience.

The lacrosse team had a strong win against ETP winning 15-8 the other week, but went down to Burnside on the weekend. Our international coaches have now arrived and are looking forward to working with our boys and teaching them new skills.

Catcholic Schools Athletics

The Primary Athletics team will be competing next Tuesday 12 June in Section 3 of the Catholic Schools Athletics Carnivals. We wish the boys well in this event.

Enjoy the long weekend.
