From the Primary School

Next Tuesday is our Primary Arts Evening starting at 6.00 pm. This is a compulsory night for the boys with much preparation involved. Please ensure the boys are available at 5.45 pm to prepare and be ready for a prompt start. The P&F have organised food to be available (pizzas) from 5.00 pm in Frassati Hall but orders must be pre-booked through https://www.trybooking.com/BDJFE up to Friday 21 June. The evening promises to be a fabulous display of the boys’ talents and their teachers too. It will be held in the Neill Gymnasium. Hope to see everyone there.

Unbelievably we are on the verge of the end of the first semester of 2019 – I’m not sure where the time has gone! Many events and excursions have occurred during this term as well as much learning as will be evidenced in the reports prepared by staff for your boys. SEQTA will go live for accessing the reports on Monday 1 July. If you have any concerns please contact your Class Teacher or me.

Being struck down with a cold, the flu or gastroenteritis is unpleasant and disruptive. You can reduce the risk of getting sick or passing infections on to others by following these simple rules: WASH your hands often; WIPE down surfaces; COVER your coughs and sneezes. We also ask that if your child is unwell to keep them home to assist with getting over their ailment. We have had so many children away this term (and a few staff too).

With the term break coming up the other rules to follow are the four rules of holidays: say your prayers, eat your vegetables, be good to your mum and dad and stay off electronic devices as much as possible. A reminder that students will finish at the usual dismissal time of 3.05 pm on Friday 28 June. I hope everyone has a healthy, safe and enjoyable break and thank you for a great term.

Dates to Remember:

21 June – 3CH Mass 2.15 pm

25 June – Primary Arts Evening 5.45 pm (food available from 5.00 pm)

28 June – Term 2 ends for students 3.05 pm

22 July – Start of Term 3

Regards
