Important Dates For Year 12’s Applying For Uni & TAFE

  • Applications: students can still register for a VTAC account and apply for courses. Applications made between Friday 3 Nov, 5pm – Friday 8 Dec, 5pm, will cost $134.00.
  • Payment: The registration fee must be paid by Mon. 18th Dec. for main round offers.
  • Personal Statement: Due by Fri. 8th Dec. NOTE: These are only relevant for some courses.
  • Change of Preference: applicants won’t be able to change their preferences until Sunday (19th Nov).
  • VCE Results: Your VCE study scores, ATAR and VTAC Scaled Study Scores will be available to you via internet services. All current VCE students will receive a statement of VCE study scores from the VCAA. However, only students who have applied for courses through VTAC this year and have paid their VTAC processing fees will be sent an ATAR statement in the mail. Students are encouraged to contact Cros, Mr Bristol or any of the HL’s if they would like assistance understanding or thinking through their results.
  • How to access your results online: The VCE results and ATAR Service will be available from 7am, 15th Dec. To view your results online, log on to resultsandatar.vic.edu.au using your VCE student number and Results Service PIN. The default Results Service PIN is the first four digits of your birthdate, however you are strongly encouraged to change this prior to the release of results (see below). Results will be available online from mid-December. Note: The Results Service PIN is separate from your VTAC PIN. Protect your privacy—change your PIN
  • Change Of Preference advice & support: We are running a C.O.P BBQ on Mon. 18th Dec., commencing at midday. Students are strongly encouraged to attend. Cros, Mr Bristol and the HL’s will be available to assist with change of preference advice and understanding results. Meanwhile each of the Universities and TAFEs also offer their own COP on campus or online to assist students. Details can be found on individual Uni websites or contact Cros for more info. Change of Preference closes on Wed. 20th Dec. at 12 noon sharp.
  • Offers: Round 1 offers will be released Tues. 16th January. From there you will be able to change your preferences for future rounds.

Maths & Science Awards

INGV (Infrastructure Network GV) promote education, networking and development between organisations that are involved with design, management, maintenance or construction of infrastructure within our region. They aim to encourage and foster study of science and mathematics in our area. Each year they offer a range of awards to Year 11 students. This year, two of our students were successful in gaining recognition for their academic achievements and encouragement to pursue further studies.

Jemma Gullick and Emre Eren impressed the selection panel with their consistently excellent results across all subjects, but in particular maths and science. Jemma and Emre spoke very well at the award presentation, thanking the sponsors and detailing their aspirations for a possible career in Medicine before accepting their awards (Book bursaries) from sponsors. There were also two other award recipients (from Cobram SC and Shepparton HS). Congratulations Jemma and Emre!!
