Reptile Encounter
On Wednesday the 8th of November the three DNA All the Way classes attended an incursion with Dan from Reptile Encounters. He talked to the students about aspects of Evolution and Genetics with the assistance of his animals which the students had the opportunity to get up close to touching them and even holding them. This was an engaging introduction to the concept of evolution and allowed students to relate their existing knowledge to a variety of animals, including a sugar glider, barn owl, olive python, and salt water crocodile.
At lunchtime Dan gave a presentation to some of our Year 7s and other interested students with a focus on their previous topic of Classification.
