I CAN Network
The I CAN Network has been running a leadership program at Wanganui over terms 3 and 4. We enable students with Autism to share their talents and develop their skills. We invite the wider school community to join us for our end of year Presentation Night. Please see the invitation for more details.
Remembrance Day 2017
Wanganui Park SC was represented at the Shepparton and Mooroopna Remembrance Day ceremonies last Saturday by our new leadership team for 2018. Captains Shae Montgomery and Lochie Pellegrino attended the Shepparton cenotaph whilst Vice-Captains Sallie Drill and Kane Wilson attended the Mooroopna ceremony.
Partners In Learning - Parent Involvement At WPSC.
Tuesday night was the last meeting for 2017 of the ‘Partners In Learning’ Committee (formally known as the Education Committee).
This group of parents, guardians, teachers and the Principal class meet once a month for one hour to discuss factors that influence the success of students at Wanganui Park Secondary College. It is one of the forums for expressing ideas and opinions and is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen connections with the school community.
Parent and school partnerships are important to us here at Wanganui Park.
The future of education in Shepparton is about to change and parent input will help guide Wanganui Park to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
Perhaps in 2018, you would like to join us on this committee. New members are always most welcome.
Many thanks to Therese Nicholson who has been a member of the committee for the past 10 years, and finishes her association with the school this year.
Please contact Karen Utber at the school if you would like more information about the ‘Partners In Learning’ committee.
