Student Wellbeing

On Camp!

I enjoy going on school camp! It is an opportunity to witness the students being themselves, having a great time and making lots of friends. Most importantly it is  an opportunity for students to step out of their comfort zone and try something new. (And for parents to let that string out just a bit further!).

The students have an opportunity to display our school values of Safe, Respectful, Responsible and Resilient through their interactions with both camp leaders and school staff. From using manners at the dining table, remembering to wear correct clothing and keeping calm if they go out in a game; camps really do help to develop the social and emotional learning of the students.

Thinking of our Years Three and Four students as they cross another milestone in their journey of their school lives. There really are so many moments on camp where the children are proud of themselves. I am sure they will be excited to share these when they return.

Thanks for listening,
