 Dear Parents, Students and Friends,

A warm welcome back to everyone for the final term of 2020. The College

has commenced major refurbishment works and building which will see a

new Technology Block, Administration Building and offices, Staff Centre

and five extra classrooms by the end of next year. The Technology Block,

Administration and Staff centre will be open by mid next year, leaving the

classrooms ready for occupation at the start of 2022. Extra classroom

demountables will be on site during this time and wood and metal

technology will be housed in the Maintenance sheds. These spaces have

been set up and will be taking classes very soon.

The College office has been set up in L Block, adjacent to the Uniform

Shop. It is well signposted and parking is available in the staff carpark off

Wakaden Street. Car spaces are “tight”, so if you can solve your questions

via email or phone calls, I suggest that this might be easier for you.

There is so much to tell everyone about the building improvements so

Business Manager, Joanne Smith and I will provide information from time

to time, keeping you updated. Like all building works there may be

occasions where schedules don’t go according to plan, so please be

patient as what will eventually be in place here at Marian will provide our

community with a wonderful 21 st century educational design that will make

everyone proud to be associated with the College.

Term Four see the return to our summer uniform. It is compulsory for hats

to be worn whilst outside and in practical PDHPE classes and Sport. We

ask that you ensure these important sun safety items are available for your

student to wear. If they can’t be found at home, they can be purchased at

the Uniform Shop. My last point on this is please also have all items

labelled with names. There is nothing more frustrating than having

expensive uniform pieces left in lost property with no way to identify

owners.

Finally, please keep our Year 12 students in your thought and prayers as

they commence the HSC Exams next Tuesday. These exams will continue

until November 11.

Peace and Best Wishes
