Preps Update

Term 4

The Preps have had a positive return to face-to-face teaching! They have grown so much over the last few months, and have effectively reaquainted into into classroom routines quite well. Students have enjoyed playing and reconnecting with their friends in the morning learning through play sessions and have showed off many of the skills they built on during remote learning, such as adding, subtracting, reading and writing with greater confidence.

The busy yard has been a challenge for some, however students are discussing strategies to overcome situations with their teachers during community circles, class discussions and small group chats. Tribes energisers and working with peers within the classroom are helping to develop friendships and revise our Tribes Agreements.

Teachers are aware that coming back to school can be a challenge and are guided by our students as to when we may need a brain, physical, rest or bathroom break. We are altering our programs as needed to make our return to school successful.
