SRC

Theme Dress Day

In this week’s newsletter issue, the SRC wanted to highlight special student events that occurred recently. On Tuesday the 27th October, the SRC held a theme dress day where the theme was to wear coordinating outfits. The student turnout on that day was incredible, and we think that’s been one of the most successful themes we’ve thought of so far, so we’ll work toward bringing better ones in the future! On that day, we also had a drink sale which went incredibly well thanks to the sun being out and everyone energised from being back at school.

The other event was on the Friday the 30th October, where the Year 12s held their final day of classes. It was an emotional event as not only were they leaving high school, but they’ve been through a year like no other. They spent the entire day engaging in fun activities, a heartfelt assembly and a fun lunch. The SRC were responsible for selling the food on that day, which was popcorn and fairy floss. It was incredibly busy, but overall, we had a lot of fun selling it too!

It’s been a crazy year, not only for the Year 12s, but for us too. We wish everyone from the class of 2020 good luck on their upcoming exams and future aspirations, while we will continue to strive for excellence, as always!
