Year 10 - Soft Sculpture

In Drawing and Sculpture year 10 art students have used critical and creative thinking to construct soft sculptures using interfacing fabric and string.  The detail in the texture and construction of these sculptures demonstrates the students persistence in construction and artistry. In this unit we also looked at the works of renown artists like Claes Oldenburg and Andy Warhol, all artworks were based on the Pop Art movement.

Printmaking and Painting

Year 10 art students undertook an intaglio printmaking unit using the art process to design and create artistic etchings communicating an idea of their choice.  They used metal etchings needles to engrave acetate plates, finally inking them up and then printing editions of prints using a press. Many prints were then expanded and adapted to create new artwork.  Some included the French technique of chine colle, weaving, water colours, collage and stitching. Well done year 10 printmakers some fabulous work here.
