SENIOR SCHOOL

It has been wonderful this week to welcome back Years 11 and 12 students to onsite learning. Both students and teachers are excited to be back in the classroom for the remaining few weeks in the lead up to their final examinations.

The GAT was held last week and we had over 350 students complete the test. The students conducted themselves in an excellent manner and were a credit to themselves.

At the end of the GAT all Year 12 students were given a welcome back package from the college and we hope to see many of the facemasks included in the package around the college over the coming weeks.

One more week to go before we see our Year 10 students also back at school. It has certainly proved to be a very challenging year for everyone!

Year 12 Graduation

I am pleased to confirm that although we will be unable to have the usual Graduation Dinner for Year 12 students and parents this year, we will most certainly still be recognizing and acknowledging the achievements of our Year 12 Graduation Class of 2020. However, due to COVID-19 protocols for schools we are somewhat restricted in what we can do.

Recognizing that parents will be unable to attend the Graduation and therefore take photos of this important event in their child’s educational journey, the college will also be providing all families with a photo of their son/daughter receiving their Graduation Certificate from the Principal along with their PEP group photo.

The Graduation will be filmed in its entirety and an edited package will made available for viewing at home where parents and students can enjoy the experience together. The usual speeches will be pre-recorded and included in the package also, providing a complete Graduation experience.

The Graduation will take place at the college on Thursday 29th October following the end of the last day of classes for Year 12 students. It will begin at approximately 3:45pm and should conclude no later than 6:00pm. Although we will be required to follow all the COVID -19 requirements we will still be presenting awards and most importantly presenting all of our 2020 Year 12 students with their BSC Graduation Certificate along with a memento from the college. Students will be expected to be in full college uniform and may wear their year 12 jacket.

Examinations for Years 11 and 12

The College Examination timetable for November has been published on COMPASS. In addition all students undertaking a Unit 3&4 study in 2020 have been given their individual examination timetable which was placed in their pigeonholes earlier this week. It is the student’s responsibility to carefully check their timetable.

Classes for Year 12 students conclude on Thursday 29th October, and for Year 11 students on Friday 30th October.
