Years F/1

This week has certainly been a busy week with lots of events at school on. I am really happy to be back this week and I certainly missed all the students.

This week In Writing, we have been focusing on the persuasive genre, where the students need to give reasons they have chosen a point of view,  for example their favourite colour or animal.

We read a picture story book called, 'What's Your Favourite Colour?' by Eric Carle and friends.

Did you know that yellow is Eric Carle's (he is the author and illustrator of 'The Hungry Caterpillar') favourite colour is yellow as using yellow in painting is challenging because it does not mix well with other colours.

Jaxon - My favourite colour is green because it reminds me of the leaves on the tree.

Hunter - My favourite colour is red and black because it is cool.

Evie - My favourite colour is pink and purple  because they remind me of flowers.

Ivy - My favourite colour is gold because it reminds me of flowers.

Billie - My favourite colour is blue because it reminds me of the sky.
