Year 7 English Storybook Awards

Throughout the term, Year 7 English students have been working hard on crafting an autobiographical storybook about an event in their lives. On Wednesday in the St Philip’s library, selected storybooks were displayed, and students and staff voted on the best storybooks for the inaugural ‘People’s Choice Storybook Awards’. The three winners (by popular vote) in 2022 were:

“I Don’t Feel Well” by Amelia Smulders

“The Magic Milkshake” by Isla Petrick

“My Trip to Kintore” by Annasteene Gibson

‘Highly Commended” (the next most popular votes):

“Cinderella and the Missing Shoe” by Elizabeth Richardson

“The Great Adventure of Squeak” by Elsa Chenhall

These students will be presented with their certificates and prizes at an all-school assembly in Term 2.

Congratulations to all students for applying their storytelling skills as well as their tenacity and creativity to this task!
