School News

Marni Naa Pudni

It has been a wonderful start to 2022, and the end of another busy term is quickly approaching. It has been a very complex and unique beginning to the year due to COVID.  It has been great to witness the resilience and flexibility of our school community, as we thrive during these unpredictable times. This has ensured that we have had a highly successful term.

This term we have had a continued focus on building string and positive relationships and connections with our school community. As COVID-19 continues to throw curveballs our way, staff have ensured that every child stays connected with their peers and with their learning.

Our sustained focus on growth for every student has been commended last week by our Education Director Rick Bennallack who visited LNPS. He was extremely impressed with our focus on teaching and learning, and the growth we are achieving for each student.   This is very reassuring and confirms that we are heading in the right direction!

ThankED

In 2020 the  Department for Education released the initiative ThankED. ThankED gives you the chance to celebrate and thank public educators who make a difference every day, as well as those people who work in support of them.

Since then the LNPS staff have received 71 ThankED messages that have been sent to 40 different staff members.

This is wonderful recognition of our staff and the acknowledgement is greatly appreciated.

ThankED is an ongoing initiative and we encourage you to use it regularly to celebrate and thank our staff.  Messages can be submitted through the following link. ThankED

Assembly

As everyone would understand it has been quite difficult to host assemblies due to COVID.

We are planning to have an Assembly this Friday 8th April at 2:30pm on the oval.

The agenda will include:

  • Aussies of the Month announcements
  • Graduate Speeches
  • Student Ambassadors appointments

If you are planning to attend the assembly please ensure that you following COVID protocols including wearing a mask and physically distancing.

Next week I will be attending the annual Senior Camp to Butlers Beach. Mirjana will be Acting Principal in my absence.

We wish everyone a lovely Easter and a relaxing holiday break.
