Further Funding for STEM Building in State Budget

Dear students, parents, carers and the wider school community,

As you’ll be aware, our school received funding in the 2020-21 State Budget to deliver the next stage of our master plan.

I am delighted to announce that the Victorian Government has provided additional funding of $8.748 million in today’s 2022-23 State Budget, to ensure the delivery of our full project as planned, which includes a new three-storey library and Science Technology Engineering and Maths (STEM) building.

At the same time, our School Council, leadership team, architects from Kerstin Thompson Architects and the Victorian School Building Authority have been working closely to develop designs that create an environment designed for delivering modern education.

Designs are progressing well, and once complete, will be signed off by our School Council, our leadership team and the Department of Education and training. The project will then enter the detailed design and tender phase, which will help to appoint a builder for our upgrade. Construction is forecast to commence in the latter half of 2022.

I look forward to being able to share more about these exciting designs as the project progresses.
