NCAT Infomation Evening

The May information evening for prospective 2023 students is coming up on Tuesday 17th May at 6pm.  NCAT are running an additional VET certificates next year, including the Certificate II in  Applied Fashion Design and Technology. See the flyer for more information.

Come and try Water Polo

Footscray Water Polo is pleased to announce a 4 week intensive skills development program for junior players aged 10-18. No experience necessary, all are welcome to jump in and have a go! 

Sessions will be held at Sunshine Leisure Centre on Mondays 6-7pm from the 2nd to the 23rd May.

Petition for improvements at Northcote Tennis Courts

The Northcote Tennis Courts behind the Aquatic Centre and next to McDonnell Park are an asset to our community. For years these courts have served us well with public use and coaching programs, yet the condition of the facility does not meet current standards. Essential upgrades to the facility would bring the tennis courts up to standard with many of Darebin’s other sports and recreation investments.

A small group of people in Northcote are lobbying Darebin Council and State Government to help improve the facilities at these tennis courts. Although the tennis courts themselves are fit for purpose the other ammenities of the courts are extremely poor and have been neglected for too long. For instance, currently there is one port-a-loo available for use at the courts. This is extremely prohibitive to inclusion and participation.
