Mathematics 

St Anthony’s School Maths Day

Yesterday, all students took part in a whole school Maths day to celebrate all things Mathematics. We were lucky to have Cam from Green Hat Workshops come along to engage the students in a PLANKS incursion which challenged their creativity to build structures using small planks. 

Throughout the day the students worked in groups to create structures and solve other Maths and STEAM challenges such as writing maths songs, representing equations and making boats that can float or paper aeroplanes out of tissues.

It was great to see students engaged in different problem solving activities throughout the day and be so fully engaged in their Mathematics learning.
