Vermont Secondary College

Year 7 Studio Art Ceramics

Students explored houses of different cultural backgrounds and investigated the significance of its architectural design.

They selected a country and worked in groups to create a village that emphasised the characteristics of the themed houses.

They made them out of clay with ceramic glazes.

Students then worked as a team and placed them in the landscape of the chosen themed house.

Here we have pictures of African hut village and Traditional Japanese houses from 7M3.

7S1 created Australian country houses and a Spanish village.
