Remembrance Day - Friday 11th November

Remembrance Day - Friday 11th November

This Remembrance Day, we will pause to honour those who’ve served and sacrificed. Throughout the Commonwealth and beyond, we remember all who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

Our assembly will have a speaker from the RSL come along to talk to the students about the significance of the day. We will then gather at our commemorative Gallipoli oak tree for a small ceremony, as well as pausing for a minute of silence.

Parents and friends are welcome to come along to the assembly, which starts just after 9am in the gym.

Our school captains will attend the ceremony at RSL park and lay a wreath on behalf of the school.

In the lead up to this day, we will again support the Buninyong RSL and sell poppy pins and other items at school. The red poppy has come to symbolise remembrance and hope for a peaceful future.

Students (and parents!) are welcome to purchase these at the office - sales are already strong and we thank you for your support.

LEST WE FORGET.
