Deputy Principal's
Report - Years 7, 9, 11
Its has been an eventful term for the students in Year 7, 9 and 11. I have really enjoyed getting to know the families of the students in these year groups as Relieving Deputy Principal.
Firstly, a huge congratulations must go to Year 7. You have completed your first year of high school and you have developed an understanding of what it takes to be a Henry Kendall High School student. You have developed new friendships and built strong relationships with your teachers. Your Year Adviser Miss Sanki has supported you throughout the year and she will continue to be there for you in 2023. The work that you put in throughout $20 Boss recently was fantastic and should be a motivating factor for your success in 2023. Have a well-deserved break and make sure that you come back refreshed ready to start Year 8
Throughout Term 4, Year 9 have blossomed. All of you are starting to figure out which path you want to take. Whether it be seeking advice and support from your Year Adviser Mrs Hogan about possible career opportunities at the end of Stage 5, to being able to select which electives you would like to take in Year 10. You are halfway through your high school journey!! Well done for completing Year 9 and we look forward to seeing as Year 10 students.
Congratulations must also go to the students of Year 11. All Year 11 have completed the first part of their Stage 6 courses and have started their HSC journey this term. While it has been a busy few weeks completing your first HSC assessment task, you have earnt a good break and should freshen up ready to make positive strides with your HSC next year.
This term you have also had the opportunity to attend the Life Ready Camp at Tea Gardens (This is being written a week before attending the Life Ready Camp) and I am sure you have all faced your fears and taken on numerous challenges. I look forward to working with Year 7, 9 and 11 for Term 1 2023. Have a fantastic holiday and Merry Christmas.
