Student Services
Graduating Year 12.
Congratulations to our Yr 12 students who have successfully completed their HSC. For all our students who received support through Student Services, we know that the completion of the HSC has brought with it many challenges, however you have persevered to achieve your personal best. Well done to all of you.
Year 7 2023
Student Services has been busy conducting some individual transition sessions for many of our students transitioning to Henry Kendall High next year. We have been having lots of conversations with parents and teachers from all our feeder schools to make sure we have the best support in place for our new Year 7 2023 cohort. Thanks to Matt Hoole, their Year Adviser, for an amazing Orientation Day. All the students had a wonderful experience.
Top Blokes Program
The following boys graduated from the Top Blokes Program this semester. Hamish Butler, Darcy Cain, Henry Dam, Lachlan Drury, Hunter Fitzpatricke, Ashur Harrison, Daniel James, Corey McClinchie, Dorion McCulloch, Mitchell Knowles, Eden Satur and Mitchel Topp.
Congratulations boys for your commitment to this program and the personal growth that has been achieved by each of you.
White Ribbon Day Assembly
The White Ribbon Day Assembly is always a significant event at our school and this year’s assembly was no exception! It was led by our school captains and featured 3 female guest speakers from the community as well as our own Mr Sheppard. Our students heard passionate addresses about respectful relationships and were encouraged to become upstanders who are committed to creating a society where no one must live in fear of domestic or family violence.
Christmas Hampers
Student Services have had the pleasure of issuing the P&C funded Christmas hampers to very grateful families across our school community. Thank-you to our P&C for their generous donation.
Healthy Young Men
This 6-week program was delivered to 15 Year 8 boys this term. They received lessons in self-care, emotional health, anxiety, and the importance of eating well, sleeping, and exercising.
The Healthy Young Men program promoted self-confidence and self-esteem and up skilled the boys in positive decision making. Thanks to Silas Pollard and Danielle Habib for their efforts with our boys.
The Life Skills Cooking Program
This term, we continued the Life Skills Cooking Program with Mel Gould and Michelle Jones. The program builds confidence and provides opportunities to make meaningful connections with peers. The girls have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to get creative in the kitchen and share a meal. On the menu this term were acai bowls, mini pizzas, rice paper rolls, chicken and egg noodle soup, San choy bow, nachos, as well as bacon, and egg rolls.
Uniform donations
Please note that we are always happy to take donations of used uniforms. The office staff will gladly accept these at any time.
Finally, we wish all our families a very happy and safe festive season.
