Student Leader's Report
Hello everyone, we hope you have had an excellent week so far.
We have some exciting events happening in the last few weeks of term.
On Tuesday the 15th our year 3 students came back from camp. They stayed at Campaspe Downs in Kyneton for 1 night and enjoyed themselves very much. At camp the year 3’s participated in lots of fun activities and spent time together as a cohort.
Next week on Wednesday, our year 4’s will be leaving for a 2 night camp at Camp Wilkin. We wish them all the best and that they enjoy themselves. We can’t wait to hear all about it when you return.
The year 6’s have started a poetry unit in writing. They are studying the features and techniques in all sorts of poems. They are currently in the middle of writing a free verse poem. A free verse poem has no rhyme structure and can be however long or short you want it, they can also be about whatever topic you like.
On Friday the 11th, on Remembrance Day, our two school captains and Ms Kathy went down to the Cenotaph in Sunbury for the Remembrance Day ceremony to lay our schools wreath. The day gave us time to remember and appreciate the soldiers who fought for our country, without those brave people we may not have had the rights we have now. Our whole school assembly that was held on the day was a great success, it was wonderful to see all the handmade wreaths from our classes, they all looked great.
Our colour run is today! We hope that you are all ready to have a great day. Be prepared to get super colourful and get slimed! Thank you to all the people who helped fundraise money for our school. Money raised goes towards things such as new sports uniforms for students and fresh line marking for our basketball and netball courts as well as other playground areas.
Parents and carers are welcome to come and watch the Colour Splatacular fun from 1.40pm tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you there!
From your school captains,
Emily, Laneah, Genna and Olly
