Round Square Clothes Swap
“Clothing production is the third biggest manufacturing industry after the automotive and technology industries. Textile production contributes more to climate change than international aviation and shipping combined” (House of Common Environmental Audit Committee, 2019)
In Round Square, one of our aims as a group is to decrease our impacts on the environment and increase awareness around the issues that we do that directly impact our environment. As a result of this, we will be holding a second hand clothes stores at the TAS night on the 1 December, this will run like a clothes swap party, in that those that donate clothes will be able to get clothes in return. Also at the end, the store will be open to browse and purchase clothes, after those who have donated have been through. All students and parents are encouraged to participate, however this is not a compulsory activity.
