Year 8 Food Technology – Food Tastings 

 

Each week in their theory lesson students participate in a taste testing. The foods tasted range from a variety of apples to Tim Tams. Students describe and evaluate the sensory characteristics of taste, texture, appearance, and aroma. 

Year 7 Food Technology 

This week in the production task the focus was on teamwork and time management. All students participated in a positive way and appeared to be very pleased with their final product. 

Postcards 

One of the homework tasks for students in Food Technology is to write an imaginary piece thanking their Year Level Manager for the dinner invitation, whilst describing the sensory characteristics of the meal that was served. There are certainly some very detailed descriptions!
