Out and about- Year 10 Photography
The Year 10 Photography students recently enjoyed an excursion to multiple local areas, showcasing the beauty that surrounds our school.
They started their excursion visiting Healesville Sanctuary, capturing our native animals. Then they headed to Yarra Valley Chocolaterie to walk through the orchids and enjoy the finer things, before ending their trip walking along Maroondah Dam wall.
As they explored each of the locations the students attempted to capture beautiful and unique images that also showed their own style.
The students had to use manual settings on the DSLR camera to improve their skills on adjusting their settings, dependent on their subject matter. They quickly realised that photographing a sleeping koala is far different to the swift flowing water at Maroondah Dam.
It was excellent to see how all members of the class supported and encouraged each other to step out of their comfort zone and try new things. It was a day filled with lots of sunshine, walking and photographing.
