Stars

Congratulations to this edition's stars! These students have been nominated by one or more of their teachers and we are proud to acknowledge the way in which they act according to our school values.

Year 7

Hunter Eaton has been nominated by Mrs Morley and this nomination has been supported by several of his teachers. Hunter is a reliable and hard working student. He conducts himself in a polite manner and shows respect towards his teachers, peers and the entire HHS community. Hunter looks out for other people and he makes the school a better place. Well done, Hunter!

Year 8

Abbey Kells has been nominated by her English teacher, Mr McMahon, for her continued diligence and high achievement. In addition to this, Abbey has received recent green chronicles from Ms O'Brien, Mr Fisher and Ms Schoch, with the common theme being mentions of Abbey's effort, respectful nature and perseverance.  A well deserved star nomination for Abbey!

Year 9

Alex Boundy's English teacher, Mrs Battle, has nominated him for a star award. Mrs Battle is impressed by the mature way in which he approaches his work and class in general. Alex is interested in learning and asks questions to clarify his understanding, so he can do his best. That's what we like to see from a student about to enter the Senior School! Well done, Alex.

Year 10

Despite only starting at HHS this year, Jack Carrington has already had a big impact. He led the lighting design and operation during our recent school production,

School of Rock, and did a fabulous job. As Ms Koutkos writes, 'Jack shows commitment to his studies and is engaged in all aspects of creating high-quality work. He actively looks for opportunities to increase his abilities and to be involved, for example, helping video the Year 12 Celebration Day. ' Great work Jack! We're glad you joined us.

Year 10

Ethan Nikcevich is a student who is well liked by all of his teachers. He's organised, dedicated and an all-round nice guy! His star nomination comes from Ms Neil, his Food Studies teacher. Ms Neil nominated Ethan for his high level of engagement and organisation in class. Additionally, Ms Koutkos is pleased by Ethan's approach in Photography and his effort, dedication and willingness to participate in all aspects of class. Congratulations, Ethan!

Year 11

Natalia Macpherson-Daykin is a bit of a chef extraordinaire! Her star nomination has been made by her Year 11 Food Studies teacher, Ms Shelley.  In particular, Ms Shelley is proud of the Beef Stroganoff Natalia recently made, and the completed evaluation of her work.  Natalia is methodical in her approach and tackles all practical tasks with an enthusiastic attitude. Nice work, Natalia!
