When the Year 12 students announce their Elroy awards, often Ms O’Brien is the lucky recipient of the ‘Cutest Teacher’ award. If these photos of a young Holly O’Brien are anything to go by, she certainly deserves that award!

The first photograph features Ms O’Brien and the first furry love of her life, Jamie, the Jack Russell puppy. The second photo is of a four year old Ms O’Brien and the aptly named puppy, Pirate.

 Dogs have always played an important role in Ms O’Brien’s life. She did lament that often she hasn’t had the best luck with dogs and unfortunately, sometimes tragic events or circumstances ended their life prematurely. Regardless, Ms O’Brien loves having a dog in her life.

Fast forward to current times and Elfie, the King Charles Cavalier, is the lucky doggo who enjoys love and affection from Ms O’Brien. So far he’s been pretty lucky- he is still here! Ms O’Brien’s pretty happy about that and so are we.
