Planting Trees

The Year 11 VET Agriculture class has been working on their final unit for the year, called Planting Trees and Shrubs. Last week saw them plant a number of beautiful trees along the back oval.

The trees were grown from seeds and kindly donated by fellow teacher Mr Miller. The trees donated included: Blue Gums, Wattles and Shea Oaks.

The Year 11 class have dug holes, planted trees, removed weeds, fertilised, watered and provided mulch. They will continue to do more planting over the following few lessons, both around the school and in the ag paddocks.

Going forward if anyone has any big tree planting programs they want assistance with, the VET Agriculture students would be open to a day out assisting in the planting process. Please contact the school and speak with VET Agriculture teacher Jess Van den Eynde.
