Comedy Night

Comedy night wrap

Thanks everyone for their support of the MPS Comedy Night!

I think we can all agree, Sunday the 23rd of October will go down in MPS History for a few reasons:

· First time a former head student returned as the entertainment (thanks Annie Louey)

· Highest number of swear words ever spoken in the school hall (thanks Dave Hughes)

· First ever Moreland Primary Comedy night, but hopefully not the last!

Thanks to all of the members of the school community who pitched in to help the PNC put the fun in fundraiser. And thanks to all of the ticket holders who came along for a laugh and forked over their cash for drinks, pizza and raffle tickets to help us make a grand total of $9000 for the new library resource centre!

Thanks also to members of the MPS staff for buying tickets and coming along. Imagine volunteering to go to your workplace on a weekend! Heroes.

We were blown away by the prize donations from our local businesses. If you know a business on this list, say thank you in person next time you see them! It helps them understand how appreciated their generosity is.

Valhalla Axe Throwing, Bunnings Coburg, Pinot and Picasso, Centrestage Costumes, Brunswick Ballroom, Urban Leopard, Armature Pilates, Really Good Chocolate, Melbourne Arts Centre, Fitzroy Nursery, The Islamic Museum of Australia, GoClimb, Woolworths Coburg, Brunswick Bound, Ukiyo, Nelson Alexander, Kylie Laugesen and especially Jetts Coburg and Present Story who didn’t just donate but came along to the show too!

Enjoy these fantastic pics from the night thanks to Bridget Couper.

Hope to see you all at the MPS Comedy Night in 2024!
