Assessment
Student Effort Assessment (SEA reports) will be published on Wednesday 9th November for students in Year 7 to 11. This is the final SEA report for the year.
All students who are organised, completing tasks and showing a positive attitude to learning are able to receive a score of 2.5 to 4.0. Please note learning growth is measured against the students individual learning growth and is not measured against Victorian Curriculum levels.
Our Year 7 – 10 testing occurs in week 5 and week 6; It is vital that students bring their own fully charged laptop to their class to complete this. The PAT (Progressive Achievement Test) tracks students’ growth over time and provides detailed information for teachers to use to design lessons.
In Year 7 – 10 students complete Common Assessment Tasks (CATs) as part of their progressive reporting. These can be seen on Compass and include the student’s overall achievement, their progression on the rubric and individual feedback. Please log in to Compass to view these assessments.
When your child has not submitted their CAT on time you will receive a brief email and letter outlining what has not been completed/and what needs to be done to complete the task. All students are welcome to attend the Homework Club on Wednesday nights – where there are teachers and volunteers ready to support your child. The teachers have appreciated the support they have received from families in ensuring these are completed. If the CAT is not completed by the adjusted date you will receive an SMS to let you know that it can not be assessed.
