Regional Softball

What a day of nerves, heat, excitement, victory and gracious defeat! The BNPS Girls' Softball team truly played with everything they had. Representing the Casey South and Kingston regions, BNPS went up against Derinya Primary School, Coatsville Primary School and Woodlands Primary School.

With a surprise drop out, we started the day with a rest, which gave us extra time to warm up and practice. A comfortable win against Derinya PS, in our first game, hit off the competition with a great sense of confidence.

The second game wasn't as easy, as Coatsville gave our students a run for the grand final. Just scrapping by with one run ahead, with what I could only describe as our best fielding to date and tremendous team encouragement, we made our way to the grand finale, against Woodlands PS.

Regardless that we did not win the GF, I am extremely proud of the girls, as they played their all and snagged the second-place red flag for BNPS.

Once again, a huge thank you to the parents/careers for their support on the day and carpooling the students to and from school.

A special mention to Ben for accompanying us for the entire day, volunteering his time in the heat to help motivate, practice and train the girls. He was the much-needed assistant coach, to help keep the nerves in check. Thank you once again Ben, the team and Mr Marashli truly appreciate your support.

Golf Week @ BNPS

During week 6 of term 4 every class in the school was lucky enough to experience a little bit of chipping and putting with a professional golfer- Paul Boxall from Edithvale Golf Club. He worked with all the students to encourage them to sign up and take lessons at any of the surrounding beautiful golf courses that we are lucky enough to have in our suburb. If any student would like to continue or pursue some more golf please go to the  My Golf website  where you can access a club close to you and get free lessons and more.
