Welcome to Term 3. We look forward to another exciting term of Concerts, Soirees and musical performances from our talented students.
Tickets are complimentary and will be available for booking from 9.30am today via our website – www.kilvington.vic.edu.au under News and Events. Please note that although tickets are free, seating is still allocated.
Students performing in the concert do not need to book a ticket.
Friday afternoon Soirees will be happening again this term. If your child is interested in performing, there is a Soiree Notice on the Music Notice Board (PVC Building) on which they can place their name and the piece they will perform.
Rehearsals have already commenced this term for The Lion King.
Don’t forget to diarise Production dates: Thursday, 20 September, Matinee commencing at 2:00pm, and an evening performance from 7:30pm.

Congratulations to Franco Lin who recently sat and passed his Licentiate of Music Piano exam. This is an elite Diploma AMEB exam in which you need to perform at a concert pianist level.
Congratulations to Edgar Chen, Year 6, who won First Prize performing La Cenerentola Op. 86 No. 7 by Dancla.
Edgar also achieved one of the top 20 scores across all age and repertoire groups in the Preliminary Round, and has thus qualified to compete in the Final Round of the Melbourne International Youth Music competition that is to be held at Deakin Edge Concert hall on 28 July, 2018.

Session 1: 2.00 – 3.30pm – For students preparing for AMEB Preliminary to Grade 5 or equivalent. Session 2: 4.00 – 5.30pm – For students preparing for AMEB Grade 6 to AMusA or equivalent.
The Performance Day will be a valuable opportunity for students to perform on any instrument in front of an experienced presenter. Performers will receive a written critique sheet comprising feedback about their performance.
