Ride to School Day - Friday 17th March - be healthy and join us by riding, walking, scooting, skating to school on the National Ride2School Day. We will have a healthy breakfast on the front oval for all those students that participate on the day. Everyone is welcome to take part, including parents and carers.
The seventh National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence will also be held on Friday 17 March, 2017. Mark the date in your school diaries!
Bullying – what can you do?
If it happens in person:
• ignore them
• tell them to stop and then walk away
• pretend you don’t care
• go somewhere safe
• get support from your friends.
If it happens online:
• avoid responding to the bullying
• block and report anyone who is bullying online
• protect yourself online – use privacy settings and keep records.
If you see someone being bullied:
• leave negative online conversations – don’t join in
• support others being bullied.
If it doesn’t stop: • talk to an adult (parent, teacher) who can help stop the bullying
• keep asking for support until the bullying stops.

SCHOOL FEES
School fees are an essential part of how we offer our programs at Collingwood in the main program, Reggio and Steiner classrooms. If payments are not completed we are faced with having to change our teaching plans. It is now that class teachers, and learning areas, are purchasing items for your children to use within their programs. Your payment and support is very much appreciated. Every cent is put back into classroom for students.
The second instalment for school fees has now passed. Please can you pay your school fees either through Compass, bPAY, the office or contact us to set up a payment plan.
I would also like to say thank you to the families that have contributed towards our school assistance program library fund and our buildings fund. These small contributions make a huge difference to some of our most in need students who require help and support with books, stationary and in some cases food and clothing. You can make a donation at any time during the year. Donations are also tax deductible.
Best regards,
Dale Perichon
College Principal
CSEF - CAMPS, SPORTS AND EXCURSIONS FUND
The government is providing a much needed boost to eligible families in the form of a payment called CSEF. Families holding a valid means-tested concession card or temporary foster parents are eligible to apply. $125 per year is paid for eligible primary school students, with $225 per year paid for eligible secondary school students. A special consideration eligibility category also exists. Payments are made directly to the school and are tied to the student. It can be used for any excursion offered by the school. Please read this link to see how the fund works and whether your child is eligible. We urge you to prioritise this application.
