Stations of the Cross

Jesus falls for the first time
Jesus is taken to Pilate
Simon steps up to help Jesus
The washing of the feet
Jesus has risen
Jesus is alive
Jesus dies
Jesus takes up the cross
Mary weeks for her son
Jesus falls for the first time

The washing of the feet

Mary weeks for her son

Year 10 led a prayerful Stations of the Cross on Holy Thursday. Students from Kindergarten to Year 10 participated in this Liturgy.

Lunch with the Bishop

On Friday April 6, 12 of our Year 10 students shared lunch with Bishop Michael Kennedy as part of the Year of Youth.  Bishop Kennedy is conducting Listening Forums in all the secondary schools around the diocese with a focus on engaging youth.  Bishop Kennedy was particularly interested in the students views around the questions:

How is the Church supporting and helping you and young people in general?

How can the Church engage young people better?

What are your concerns and or issues you would like to see the Church get involved in?

Our students were a credit to themselves and our school showing great maturity and incite in their discussions.

Secondary St Vincent de Paul Camp

On Thursday and Friday of Week 10, three secondary students attended the St Vincent de Paul Secondary camp at Lake Keepit. Bella, Bethany and Chloe engaged with 26 other secondary students from across the diocese, discussing and brainstorming ways they are able to coordinate and reach out to our school and local community. The camp was jam-packed with information sessions and activities selected to build trust and teamwork. We celebrated a beautiful Mass with Fr John Mc Hugh from Gunnedah and shared a thoughtful reflection on Thursday night.

Mini Vinnies Gathering

Today, forty three students from Years 3-6 are travelling to Warialda to participate in a gathering with our students from our diocesan schools. The occasion will focus on the work of St Vincent de Paul and assist our young people in their endeavours to be active supporters of social justice.
