Our Catholic Community

Sacrament of First Holy Communion

The Sacrament of First Communion was celebrated on Sunday, 17 November at St Francis Xavier's Church.

The celebration of the Sacrament of the Eucharist  is an important event in a Catholic community and is marked with celebrations.

Thank you parents and friends for celebrating with our candidates and congratulations to you all.

#bustthedust

A bunch of country kids at St John's Parish School in Trangie,  were struggling to find the perfect way to help out in the drought...until now! They have thrown out a challenge to all students across NSW to have a dance off and #bustthedust.

On Friday 13th December, we are joining in their rain dance. At lunchtime, we will come together, K-10,  to bust a move and help  #bustthedust.

What better way to lift the spirits of people in need while this drought heads into the festive season, than with a rain dance to cheer up those doing it tough!

Please bring a gold coin donation to support the Vinnies Bushfire Appeal.

National Prayer Campaign for those affected by drought

Prayer resources have been developed for parishes, schools, communities and families to participate in the national prayer campaign. Please find attached a prayer card and a link to further resources https://catholic.org.au/drought that you can use during the month of November.
