Commemorative Ceremony  

On the Wednesday, 24 of April at 11am, SASC held the annual commemorative ceremony for ANZAC Day at the ANZC memorial at the front of the college.

The day was organised by Andrew Trinh, Edward Huang, Chi Vien Nguyen & Vikram Chouhan from Year 12 VCAL as part of their Complex project requirements for PDS.

 

Mr Andrew Marshall, President of the Caroline Springs RSL Sub Branch gave the commemorative speech which was followed by Mr Micheal Fry from the Royal Airforce (UK) giving the ODE. Ex-student David Wilson performed The Last Post and Rouse as the flags were raised and a wreath was laid by our school captains.

 

Chi Vien Nguyen gave a somber rendition of the poem ‘For the Fallen’ by Laurence Binyon.  The national anthem was sung by Iuno Fuimaono and Maryan Pologa from Year 12 VCAL.

School Principals, School Captains, Class Captains, SRC Representative Council and Year 11 and 12 VCAL classes attended the occasion.
