Scholarships

Much work goes into applying for tertiary scholarships to enter tertiary study and for extra financial support whilst studying at University and TAFE post school.

For those students who put in the extra effort in applying for some of the more complicated application processes, the rewards can be life changing.

We are very proud to say a large number of our 2018 Year 12 students have been awarded scholarships; and some students choose to share this information with us.

We would like to congratulate the following students:

Monash University’s Vice Chancellors Scholarship (up to $36,000): Shani Nguyen, Lani Nguyen & Julie Vo

Mary Jane Lewis Scholarship ($10,000 for 3 years): Shani Nguyen, Lani Nguyen and Tuyet Nhi Le

Melbourne Access Scholarship ($15,000): Ling Sun

Victoria University Acheivement Scholarship ($5,000p.a. for up to 4 years): Erfan Vafmher

Victoria University Acheivement Scholarship ($2,000p.a. for up to 2 years): Zakia Zarghar

Monash Scholarship ($5,000p.a. for a maximum of 5 years): My (Mia) Ly and Christine Nghiem

RMIT Study Scholarship ($2,500): Achuil Barr

The Mary Jane Lewis (MJL) Scholarships are awarded to deserving students across the State every year. In 2019, 9 new MJL scholarships were awarded, it is with much pride that we can say 3 of these award winners were from St Albans Secondary College.

On 14 March Cathy Armstrong and Jacqui Hunter attended the Monash Scholarships Awards Night at their Clayton Campus to represent our school whilst our 3 Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Awardees were presented with their awards.
