Dear Sacred Heart Community,

We held our first whole school assembly this afternoon, led by our talented Grade 2 & Grade 3/4 students. The students shared some great writing and also enacted the book"Have you filled a bucket today?"

It is a great story of when we choose to be kind, not only do we fill other peoples 'buckets'....but we also fill our own. Perhaps when you ask your child about their day, you could ask them if someone filled their bucket...or did they do something kind to fill another persons bucket that day.

Our School Captains did a great job hosting the assembly and we hope to have 2 more assemblies during the term to come together and share a snapshot of our learning with our community.  Parents, friends, siblings and guardians are all welcome to attend.

Our next assembly will be on Thursday 2nd of June at 2.30pm in the multipurpose room.

At Assembly, we also gave out some Good Samaritan Awards to students from our school. The award is given to acknowledge a kind and selfless act that the student has done for others.

The recipients of these awards are Lance in Prep, Laura in Grade One, Zane in Grade 5 and Yash in Grade 5. Well done to these students!!
