Social Media

This is a friendly reminder to all families to please ensure that photos of students, other than your own, at College events are not posted on any social media platforms. If you are present at a College event and have taken some great photos that you think should be displayed on the Aitken College social media accounts, please forward your photos to the College for consideration. The College undergoes a review process to ensure that only families who have provided permission for photos of their child to be made publicly available are uploaded.

College Code of Conduct

From June 2022, new School Community Safety Orders have been applied across all Victorian schools. Principals are now responsible for prohibiting people who may be engaging in inappropriate conduct or administering threats or abuse to staff members, including through social media and other channels, from entering or remaining on the school premises. This also extends to any place where school activity is taking place e.g. on school camp, sports carnivals and any area within 25m of that place.

Our College Code of Conduct has been updated to reflect this change and is available on the College website.
