Curriculum Matters

Level 1

On Monday the 30th May the Level 1 students went on an exciting trip to Science Works! The students were able to view the general exhibits including Think Ahead and the sports area. They all enjoyed our Discovery session with Owen and Tom where we explored shadows using torches and a range of materials to create different shapes and colours. The best part of the day was visiting the Illuminate exhibit! We used lasers to play music and became invisible behind the special shields. The students all loved seeing how light can be manipulated and enjoyed the hands on activities.

A big thank you to the parent helpers who came and helped us on the day.

Level 3

Level 3 had a fabulous time during Education Week. The silent disco was a huge hit with all students and teachers we were all super active dancing and bobbing about to amazing tunes. On Tuesday we welcomed Grandparents and special friends into our classroom. We listened to the National Simultaneous Storytime book ‘Family Tree’ by Josh Pyke. Students and special friends then traced their hand and drew a picture of what they enjoyed doing at school discussing similarities and differences. We then created a work of art using each hand to create a family tree display.
