Health and Well-Being

Brain Food Challenge

This year, the Health and Well-being Working Party are working towards promoting healthy eating at Rowville Primary School. Our aim is to increase the number of serves of vegetables that our students are eating at school. So, we have created the Brain Food Challenge!

During weeks 4, 5 and 6 of Term Two, we are encouraging all students to include vegetables in their daily lunches. A monitor from each class will count the number of serves of vegetables in the lunch boxes and record this data every day on a graph. Once the Brain Food Challenge is complete, we will collect and compare the data and announce the winners.

There is one major prize for the class that consumes the greatest number of serves of vegetables within the three-week period. The prize is Bike ‘n Blend, where students create their own smoothies using a bike! The top veggie eater from each grade will receive a $20 voucher to do something special, such as; Mini Golf, Jump Deck, Bowling, Inflatable World, Wave Pool etc.
