School Council

A message from the School Council President

Our school council has been very busy so far this year with all members settling into their subcommittees and planning the year ahead.  We have been actively engaging with and following up our local and state members for funding for the school however unfortunately we have missed out on any funding in this year’s budget.  On this basis we sent out an operoo notice for assistance from parents last week which would be really great for all parents to get onboard in lobbying for better funding to further improve the school.

At the moment we are currently having costed various minor upgrade works around the school including signage, shade sails, fences, gates and basketball court.  We are also in the process in applying for further grants for shade sails, the urban rail loop community grant for areas around the school as well as undercover learning areas.

In the next few months there will be some new shade sails installed in the school grounds as part of a small grant received last year.  We all on school council look forward to the year ahead and will work very hard to support the school, students and school community in any way we can for this great school.
