CYC The Island Senior Camp

Wow!! What a great time at CYC The Island Camp for the Senior students and staff. All the students are to be commended for their behaviour and willingness to participate in all the activities offered at camp. The staff and the students commented on the wonderful facilities and program the camp had to offer along with the offsite activities: Pelican Feeding, Penguin Parade and The Nobbies.

It was a privilege to witness the students grow over the three days in the manner they attempted tasks and activities that they may not have previously thought about or completed. They ranged from setting the dinner table, packing their own luggage as well as stepping out of their comfort zone to have 'red hot go' at some of wide range of challenges such as the Giant Swing, the Flying Fox or the Pinnacle Climbing Tower. Parents you would be have been so proud!!

The students' growth was also highlighted in the the way they worked together as teams and displayed empathy and kindness towards one another.

I would like to take this opportunity in thanking all the staff who attended camp. It is a big commitment for staff to leave their own families to attend camp and take care of the wider school family whilst away from home.

Dental Program

The Dental Program will take place this week on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th May 2022. Please ensure you have discussed this program with your children if you intend for them to attend this at school.
