Year Seven Camp

The day was finally here, the long-awaited Year 7 Camp! I’ve been hearing about "the best camp ever" since Junior School. Older students talked about the infamous water slide “the wedginator”, the highropes course and the survivor course…. and I couldn’t wait to try them all.
Excited year sevens watched the Lego movie on the bus trip up to Howqua, making the time go quickly. When we arrived at camp we found out who our cabin mates for the next four nights would be.
During the week we had a really busy schedule of activities such as horse riding, mud run, high ropes course, raft building, the wedginator, ball games, orienteering, archery but my all time favourite was the zip line. The view was incredible and it was lots of fun.
The food was sensational with burgers, hashbrowns, jelly and fudge being my favourite.
All year sevens dragged their sleeping bags and pillows to the Hall and watched ‘Encanto’. Everyone erupted into song when “We don’t talk about Bruno” came on.
New friendships were made at the camp, in the cabins and on the bus.
Thank you to our teachers and student leaders for helping to make the Year Seven Camp so awesome.
