Earlier this year Jack Bennett received 1st place in our Art Competition. Following on from this, his artwork was entered into the ‘UNESAP Let’s Hang It!’ competition (University of New England School Acquisitive Art Prize). Last week we received notice that Jack has been selected as a finalist for his age group - one of only 60 finalists out of 591 entries from 46 schools! We are absolutely thrilled for Jack and have our fingers crossed as we get ready to deliver his artwork to NERAM in Armidale to be judged.
If you've answered YES to any of these, then we want to hear from you!
Following on from the introduction of our STARS Word Reading Program, we are seeking expressions of interest from parents regarding a face-to-face parent reading workshop. The purpose of the workshop would be to continue educating parents on the STARS Word Reading Program and how to help your child learn these words at home, as well as the role of home readers and using oral language to assist in reading development.
To help us plan for such an event, we would like to hear from our parent community regarding your interest and your availability in attending a face-to-face workshop. We have created a short survey that we kindly ask our parent community to spend a few minutes completing. This survey is targetted towards parents of students in Kinder, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3.
You can access the survey here.
If you have any concerns, feedback or further questions, please contact Rebecca Hofman via email: rhofman@arm.catholic.edu.au.
Congratulations to Jack and Ryder who won last week's challenges. The answers were:
Infants A: All shapes had valid reasons why they didn't belong. Many students were able to identify that shape D did not belong because it was the only shape that did not have equal sides.
Primary A: The cup that would fill first is cup 5.
Here are this week's challenges:
Infants: I am a letter. I am a vegetable. What am I?
Primary: Can you list 3 words that are spelt with two consecutive 'i's?
Keep those donations coming! We are very close to reaching $1000!
Don't forget, Sports Day = Donation Day!

School Fees
Term 2 fees are due by Tuesday, 21st June, 2022. Thank you to all who have already paid and also to those who maintain regular payments. Payment options for school fees are still the same and include: via the Qkr App; EFT (payment made direct to the school's bank account); CentrePay and ADIG Direct Debit (all details are on your statement).
Please only use your surname and account number when paying via EFT as any more notation than this gets cut off (your account number is on the top right side of your fees statement under the date, thank you). The Qkr App will be used for school fees until our financial system is upgraded and then it will change over to CompassPay. If anyone is experiencing difficulties managing their school fees please ring and make an appointment to see Pauline and Tracey.
