RUOK Day Celebrations

Girton Grammar School celebrates RUOK Day over two weeks this year! On Thursday September 8 RUOK Day was celebrated nationally in Australia. The Girton Community Action Group (GCAG) organised free Hot Chocolates for the student body to enjoy on a cold and wet day. At recess "Conversation Bingo" was running with students encouraged to take the time to talk to someone new and ask simple questions that can start a conversation, such as "How was your morning?" or "What are you doing on the weekend?". Connecting to people is such a vital part of checking in on each other and asking "RUOK?".

We will continue to run some RUOK themed activities next week with the RUOK Day competition extended until Thursday 15/9 and lunchtime activities running next Wednesday in the PA courtyard and Morey Kitchen. Come along and join in for some great prizes and lots of fun!

Next Thursday September 15 we will be hosting the annual Staff vs Year 12 RUOK Soccer Match and BBQ. This is a wonderful event that brings our school community together and celebrates all that is great about connecting to each other. What a wonderful way to end the term!
