Congratulations to Tomas Avecilla Puebla (Year 8 Thu Duc), Matthew Dodds (Year 9 Carden), Noah McEntee (Year 9 Normandy) and Byron Martin (Year 10 Hannan) who recently returned from the 2022 Australian Cross Country Championships in Adelaide, SA.

Our state representatives had some great results in muddy conditions, with highlights including Matthew running up an age group and WINNING the national gold medal in the U16 4km race with a time of 13:34; Tomas placing 21st in the U14 3km race with a time of 10:41; Byron placing 32nd in the U16 4km race with a time of 14:30, despite arriving in Adelaide the day before the race and therefore never practising on the course; and Noah placing 34th in the U15 4km race with a time of 15:16.
Overall, WA placed 4th in the U14s Mens category (Tomas) and bronze in the U16s Mens category (Matthew and Byron). WA also won the Participation and Aggregate trophies.
